I just wanted to pop in today to tell you all about my new favorite TV program. I don’t usually make a habit of telling the readers of preppersillustrated.com what I like to watch on television but I think I’ll make an exception today with this preparing for doomsday TV show.
The reason I’m going to make an exception is because I think that this program would really appeal to my readers. The things that they talk about on this show are right up the alley of a lot of my readers.
What Is Doomsday Preppers All About?
Each week, this program features three different families who are actively preparing for doomsday. Not all of them agree on the exact date or what will actually cause a breakdown of civilization but they all agree that the day will come when they will have to fend for themselves.
During the program they showcase the steps that each family has taken to prepare their families to be able to survive a breakdown of civilized society. This usually includes things like storing food, supplies, and self defense. They also talk about the precise plans that these families have in place for the day that doomsday finally comes around.
After each family has had their chance to tell their story and showcase their supply stockpiles and plans, the program has their experts analyze the measures that they have taken to prepare themselves. The narrator of the program then reveals what the experts think about their level of preparedness to the families and they get the chance to comment on the expert’s advice.
What I Like Most About The Doomsday Preppers TV Show
My husband and I feel very strongly about the importance of preparing for emergencies and this program is really inspiring to us. When we sit down to watch it, we get some great ideas that we plan to incorporate into our personal emergency preparedness plans.
It’s so easy to get lazy and forget to prepare for those “rainy days” that will eventually come. Watching this program really helps to motivate us and get our tails is gear so that we too can be better prepared for whatever happens to come our way in the future.
This programs airs on the National Geographic channel on Tuesday evenings at 7/9P et/pt for all of you who might be interested in tuning in after you finish reading this article. I highly recommend this show and suggest that you all check it out.
