You might already know that one of my favorite television shows is Doomsday Preppers but there is a program that I recently discovered that I almost like better called “Hacking the System”. It airs on the National Geographic Channel on Mondays at 10/9 central.
While Doomsday Preppers is all about planning and preparing for what might happen in the future, this new program is all about preparing yourself to survive right now, in the present. Here’s a short description from the Nat Geo website that explains briefly what this show is all about:
“For 15 years, Brian Brushwood has made a career out of social manipulation and thinking like a criminal and now he’s here to reveal how to avoid people who cheat the system and show you how to use the legal tips, tricks, and shortcuts to get ahead in life. One hack at a time.”
Other Reasons I Like National Geographic Hacking the System
This program isn’t just about survival tips. It covers things like how to avoid becoming a victim of a crime or being swindled by a con artist. It also reveals things like secrets that everyone should know while traveling. Basically, this show provides you with tips and tricks to help you get by in life a little bit better.
I really hope this show doesn’t get cancelled because I find myself thinking, “Why didn’t I think of that?” quite often while I’m watching the program. If you haven’t gotten the chance to watch it yet, I highly suggest that you take the time to do so. I have my DVR set to record it and I really look forward to watching it each week!
